Greetings and Welcome to MediaBabe.org! I have been an avid collector of film and television from the early age of 8. The advent of the VCR gave birth to my passion for taping and cataloging all of my favorite television shows and movies. Known far and wide as "Media Babe", I have dazzled friends, foes, and clients alike with my uncanny knowledge of films and television. My unique ability to describe them vividly has often resulted in reports that I was "better than the real thing." As a longtime employee of Scarecrow Video, the coolest video store in the world, I have brought media enlightenment to many a grateful recipient. I am published as one of the film reviewers in The Scarecrow Video Movie Guide and have just published The Firefly Episode Guide, an independent and unofficial critique of Joss Whedon's fabulous, yet short-lived TV series, Firefly. You might notice a few things about my website that are different from other review sites. Sometimes my reviews are way short. Sometimes they're way long. Sometimes they're gushing adoration. Sometimes they're snide and snarky. The one thing you won't find around here are apologies. Well, least not many. I like what I like. I hate what I hate. I walk out of movies that suck. I don't even bother checking out movies that I don't think I'll like. I reserve the right to change my mind. I sometimes dissect the crap out of a film and other times I foolishly allow my emotions and the involvement of the audience to sweep me away. Read my site or don't, the choice is yours. Hopefully you'll enjoy it, find my insights and views match your own. Either way, here I am - babelicious and lovin' it. This site is currently getting built and I'm adding reviews just as fast as I can, but I'm finding that is not as fast as I expected. So don't be surprised if you don't find a lot of movies up and readable just yet, if there are mistakes or unfinished entries, and if links are broken or don't go anywhere. I'm an artist, a film-buff, and Media Babe ... but a brilliant HTML/SQL/FLASH programer I ain't. Enjoy!
